What you get

  1. A fixed fee proposal so you know exactly what you’ll have to pay and when;
  2. Contacting the other party to offer mediation if necessary;
  3. Phone or Zoom meeting with each party to explain the process and seek to understand the issues for discussion at the mediation, assess suitability for mediation, answer your questions and explain how you can prepare for mediation;
  4. A fair process tailored to the needs of the parties conducted by an experienced mediator (AMDRAS and FDRP accredited) that meets best practice, provides procedural fairness, and lets you move forward;
  5. Our custom developed mediation preparation checklist; 
  6. Preparation by the mediator including reading materials - up to 1/2 lever arch folder/250 pages for a half day, and 1 lever arch folder/500 pages for a full day;
  7. Issuing a Section 60I certificate where appropriate;
  8. Trauma informed, professional mediation approaches that are tailored to your individual needs; and
  9. Ability to pay via cash, direct deposit or credit card (credit card attracts additional card fee).

  • We believe that the best outcome in mediation is when there is good preparation and ground work by everyone. We put in the time before the mediation to speak with both parties, understand the issues, assess suitability for mediation, assess the needs of both parties, and plan how these needs will be accommodated in the process.  We do the work.
  • We provide information to both parties ahead of time about preparing for the mediation to give you the best possible option of success. We help set you up to do your work!
  • We think turning up to a mediation without knowing the mediator ahead of time is just stressful and unnecessary - so we try to meet you both before hand to take one more "unknown" away before the mediation. 
  • We encourage you to get advice from your advisers such as lawyers, financial planners and accountants at appropriate times.
  • We understand that every conflict involves people - its not just a file.   

What you pay

  • Brief intake, contacting a party to offer mediation and section 60I Certificate if the matter doesn't proceed -  $200
  • Half day FDR mediations - (9 am until 1 pm, or 1 pm until 5 pm) including preparation - $1500 plus venue hire if applicable
  • Full day FDR mediations - (9 am until 5 pm) including preparation - $2500 plus venue hire if applicable
  • If you need a different configuration - perhaps a series of shorter mediation sessions, please let us know and we can tailor something to your needs.
