Established in 2026, but the journey to get here was long!

Our Principal has been a practicing solicitor for in excess of 20 years working in traditional law firms and Legal Aid Queensland before a nearly 6 year stint as Head of Compliance, Risk & Legal within a large faith-based school. Known as a trusted adviser to faith based schools, Fiona has undertaken many investigations for different schools including matters involving Child Safeguarding, fraud, workplace bullying, workplace sexual harassment, WHS reportable incidents and general Code of Conduct allegations.

She has significant experience in family, child protection, domestic violence, employment, discrimination, defamation, consumer protection, WHS, privacy and general school law areas. She has appeared in the Magistrates Courts, Federal Circuit Court and Family Court, Coroners Court, Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal including in high profile and complex multi-jurisdictional matters for faith based schools, and been involved in advising churches in dispute on a number of occasions. Having previously been a litigator, she understands what is needed for a comprehensive investigation that stands up when you need it - she also knows the costs of not resolving disputes as early as possible.

This depth of experience across a number of areas of law, and dispute work means she can guess where the icebergs are and help you navigate around them to minimise risk and headaches.
